Thinking of buying a MAC ...Always used windows and heard good things of MAC os

now i think probably the best route for a start would be a mac mini as there pretty cheap .etc and not really interested in a macbook needs to be a desktop.

Whats the top of the line mac mini to get ?...isnt there 2 processor versions out there?

any ideas input would be great

Thanks

LOL me again ;)

Yep the older ones have the Power PC processors in. I would personally avoid these. Then you have the Intel Dual Core versions which are the current ones. They have had there processors upgraded by small amounts over the past year or so.

I have/had both the Power PC and the Intel version. Intel version IMO is superior and you can dual boot Windows XP on one as well. Which runs pretty well. Its BETA software but will be built into the New version of MAC OSX which is out in a month or so.

One thing to do is upgrade to the RAM to 2GB makes a MASSIVE difference. Dont bother paying Apple for that upgrade though. Much cheaper to get the RAM yourself and Upgrade
