MacBook / Parallels question for burning CD's?!

Trying to make a couple of CD's for the car, but for some reason iTunes is having a fit at the discs I've bought. Want to try it through Win Media Player but I can't get Windows through Parallels to realise there is a disc present.
When I put my USB in it asks me which I want to open it with but doesn't happen with CD's, any ideas?!\

I have a programme called 'Burn' my cds dont work in my cd changer through itunes so i use this and it works perfect.

Iirc you'll need to "capture" the cd drive from the parallels menu.
