macgyver-ing a new clio's headunit out

  1.2 TCE Clio Dynamique S
I got a aux in wire from someone on here but can't access the headunit from inside the car so need to take it out.

Rather than spend £5 on the keys to do it, can something be macgyver'd to do the job?

The jumbo sized paperclips work well!

+1 :)

That's exactly how I did it. Was expecting some fancy mechanism, but basically all you're feeling for is two clips that push in when pressure is applied, from a paperclip or likewise. If you go in more than about 2 or 3cm you've missed the clip.

If you're struggling, do both left holes and pull it out a bit and then do both right holes and it'll all slide out.

wire coat hangers bent into U shapes
poke them in the holes then apply pressure like your trying to bend them straight again then pull out at the same time and it will pull out easy peasy!

Cheers for the advice guys!
