Maclaren SLR (Christchurch, Dorset)

Not an RS Clio I know but a pretty rare sight on the roads! I saw this going the other way along Fairmile Road earlier today and nearly crashed into the car in front as I watched the SLR in my mirrors!

Not too rare round my way...i live about 10mins from the Mclaren factory and usually see one or two every fortnight or so and sometimes even see pairs of them.
Most are on German plates! Even got used to seeing the disguised prototype test mules in and around Woking.

Funnily enough ive only ever seen 1 Mac F1....and that was doing about warp factor 9 past me!

This one had a private plate... 3 letters and a single number. I s'pose if you can afford an SLR you can afford that sort of private plate!

I saw one at work once, silver with an awful set of merc 5 spokes on it (i much perfer the turbine wheels tbh)

Yep. I think Richard Carr owns about half of all the establishments in Bournemouth/Poole by now, surely? lol

lol this guy was doing about 20mph. They deffo stand out tho.. it stood out a mile and looked nothing like a Merc SL. The bonnet seems to be about 1.5 times the length for a start.. and then theres the huge vents just behind the front wheels.

mmm i know some1 who owns one whos 18, i always say this.. but hes my gf's x... its black n i went in it .. When i went in it he had standard plates, but was planning to get a private one so it might be him... Geeez n now he hates me for stealing his gf

Quality sight! Never seen one round my neck of the woods..Best i can come up with is a Ferrari F430 and a Gallardo...

Well I say 10 mins away, its more like 15/20 mins but I live in Wood Street Village which is inbetween Woking and Guildford if you aren't familiar with it and I work in Ripley, and I usually see them at the Burnt Common Shell garage.

My grandparents place is literally a 2 min walk from Mclaren so i also see them around there as im over there quite a bit.

Where do you live then mate?

there is a guy who lives at the bottom of my friends street with a Carerra GT got piccies of it too man its amazing sounds so cool he was reving it to get up his drive and it sounded so sexy
