Magnex backboxes

Having felt the weight difference between a Magnex backbox and a standard one (for the valver), is there really anything to be gained by having one?

It weighed a ton. Must slow the car down surely?

back box on an otherwise standard system will do nothing and, as you say, the extra weight may have an effect.

doubt the weight of the box would make any noticable affect.
