just ordered a magnex for my 172 mk 2 does the extra bracket come with the system or is it extra also when fitting it does the bracket replace an original one or does it go on the opposite side to keep it looking square to the bumper on the rear

yes it comes with the system, no it doesnt replace the std mount, i would however, recommend rebuilding the std mount also with a ford mount from halfords for £2 - £3, as this helps considerably to keep the system stable, in my opinion the system is far too heavy for the renault mount.

basically, you undo the std mount, the second bracket plate slides in between that and the car with the arm extending from it to the other side of the exhaust, then you bolt it back on the car.

Ive got a mongoose exhaust and i used a poly bush at the back because the exhaust was moving about to much and it sat to low with a standard rubber,it now sits just below the bumper
