Manifold and cat springs.

Has any one come across an easier and better way to keep manifold and cat connection tight without using those shitty springs?? Such as just a simple nut and bolt? And if any body has done this has it been ok, or is it better to just make do with the springs?

Are you using a genuine renault fitting kit??

Most of the other cheaper makes are about as much use as a chocolate kettle

Haha ive heard those kettles are good!!

It looks like its a genuine set thats on, it turns out the end has corroded on the bolt and the hole on the manifold so it pulled through,
So for now ive just put a washer on it and its holding pretty snug, what a shite idea though!!

They all corrode over time. Just buy a new kit from Renault.
