manifold gasket

Hi,
I have had a look around my exhaust today as my passenger was feeling sick, I was looking at the manifold to check for leaks and to my eyes there is no gasket there. Is the gasket visible? Is there a slight overhang around it that I should see? It's a 182.

might be my air freshener. alpine fresh isn't to everybodys taste

If the exhaust manifold is leaking you might be able to smell exhaust fumes with the heater on.

It smells more when driving hard. The gasket should be 1mm thick so it should be visible I think even when squashed between the head and exhaust.
