Manual for Gear box replacement on a 172 cup

Does anybody have a manual on replacing a gear box or had any experience doing the job. Just had a new gear box delivered and want to fit it myself?

It comes out of the bottom. You need to drop the sub frame right down on the gear box side.

I would not attempt it if your are not very confident.

dont forget to dis-connect the steering Uj otherwise it'll bend the column

you need to drop the subframe. My guide on 182 manifold conversion has plenty of pictures on dropping the subframe. Long job. Get a clutch in while your at it.
