mark fish solid top mounts

Has anyone used the Mark Fish solid top mounts?

I have the knocking noise coming from my suspension and think its the top mounts, so I'm going to up grade and either get Mark Fish or AST, heard some bad things about Compbrake ones.

Anyone with any suggestions would be great cheers

SM_WRC has the Mark Fish top mounts, I've got the AST's. No more dodgy knocking from my suspension. Very nice bit of kit.

I only went with AST as I was getting adjustable suspension from them at the time as part of a group buy. They were £140 at the time. Powerstation fitted the lot, but from what I hear, it's not a difficult job.

How have people got on with the Ast adjustable mounts?
I bought some a few months ago, but they never made it on to the car, i wasn't happy with the design, due too what i use the car for, i decided they wouldn't be up to the job. My concerns were based around the clamping action of the 3 m4/m5 bolts that hold the mount in the correct position, although i can't prove my theory as i never fitted them i'd be interested to hear from anyone who has them and has put them through there paces :)
I thought it would be pointless fitting them if they would rotate any amount under stresses the damper/upright sees.

So i fitted a set of Mark Fish top mounts, only took 45mins to fit the pair and although i've not run them on track yet, there seems to be less resistance when turning the steering (ign off) and hence a more positive feel. :D

Don't be put off the Ast's by my wording above, it's purely my opinion and i could be way off the mark ;)

£280 for Mark Fish ones? They do look good, and pritty solid but thats a lot of money. However I am doing more trackdays now so need some thing that is going to be good. Hmmmmm decision time.

Cheers boys

they are good for that money the bearing is huge in comparrision to the competion

i run the mark fish one and they are the only ones that are 100% solid due to the fact that they bolt though the actual car and not clamp togther (ast) or screw down (compbrake) i tried the comp brake ones and they last a few hours on my car before i took them off and went straight down to mark and pick up a pair of his

you get what you pay for i and know what id rather run because i do a lot of trackdays/ring trips

Got AST's on mine, Been out on Track twice with them and no issues what so ever.

Not had any problems with them moving the clamping action of the 3 m4/m5 bolts seems to be well up to the job IMO.
