maxogen

  Megane 225 Cup
tried fitting my itg maxogen today and it wont fit

looks like the battery is to big

what is the standered battery on the clio as i have a 065 on there and its massive

  Ph1
How do you manage to clamp the battery in if its bigger? IIRC ithe stock fit slots perfect into the tray

  RB & LY 182
you just need to losen the battery then take it back fit the maxogen in then put the battery back easy!

Love the Maxogen :approve:

For mine, I just loosened up the bracket that runs over the battery from the ECU cover;
got the Maxogen in at a funny angle and tightened everything back up again :)

how'd you guys rate the ITG maxogen on the clio. I have the ITG maxogen on my vRS. on thies engine with the k03 turbo, gains of 15-20Hp easilyt made, guys with the k04 have been making 30Hp from it with map tweakage. Andy@ITG DID THE vRS first fit so i got it cheap £250

15-20bhp out of a filter , i cant see that , i had a forge twin take on a previous k04'd golf mk5 gti and i seen about 10-15bhp out of that on the rollers and that had two inductions , cant see an itg making 30bhp on a octy with a k04 , optomistic rollers it looks like to me

before and after graphs mate, i can also get you links for the twintake making 20Hp on a ko3 stage 2 gti(k03), and 25hp on a k04 ed 30. i can then also go and show you at least 3 before and after graphs the ITG outperforming the twintake.

Dont forget though this is with a map tweak as well to utilise the intake and have all been on stage 2+ software. get yoyrself on mk5GTI.co.uk and have a look in the product reviews. plus do a search for it.

I think i recognise your name from the mk5 forum.

Ive not before and after ran my octy from the stock intake to the ITG. I already had a code red intake before swapping to the ITG, but i made a further 9HP over the code red intake.

Id agree with the roller eing optimistic if they were on differnt days, but they wereon the saqme rollers on the same day with in half hour of each other

our twintakes produce anywhere between 15-30 bhp proven many times by ourselfs and our customers

we test back to back on the same day same rollers

they sound ace to:cool:

i prob would have had one, however there wasnt fitment for the octy at that time. I got lucky and andy@itg did the test fit on my car.

I dont soubt that at all, ive seen it with my own eyes. the higher tuned cars benefit more though

surely it depends on how s**t the standard intake/airbox is, if it's really restrictive you'l see bigger gains when going to an induction kit.

you get naff all extra with a clio ph1 but a 106 gti etc benifit really well
