MDF Question For False Floor - Urgent

im on my way to B&Q in a minute to get some MDF to make a false floor with

jus a quick question, i want to keep weight down to a minimum, is their any reason why i cant use quite thin stuff ~10mm ?

to make the floor, it can be any size you like, though for obvious reasons, the thicker it is, the better the acoustic properties will be

well the sub box will be recessed into it mate, with the amp on it in front of the sub box, and ill be puttin some sound proofin stuff in before i do it, like Dynamat etc

sound deadening will definetely help

as for the recess, so long as there is no contact between the two, you shouldnt really have any rattles

Id go for 12mm stuff, thats what i backed my chequere plate onot, and what malcie now has int he back of his car

well i can always put some dynamat in between them as i do want a fairly flush fit

There cant be much difference in weight between a bit of 10mm and 15mm same sized piece of MDF, not enough to notice in a valver anyway!

I used 12mm

I use 18 for shelfs and false floors that carry weight, dont want to be too thin that it might sag in places (in certain cases anyway).
