Lol, at all the people saying about road conditions etc. It's a FWD hatch with less that 100bhp. The back end does not step out if you're driving to the conditions diesel patch or not. If it did I'd have binned my car numerous times in the last 10 years on the way to work.
If it was a 500bhp RWD monster with no traction you might almost be able to convince me the mechanic was innocent and unfortunate but in a clio, no chance.
tbh, its the people saying he was caining it that make me laugh. hardly a day goes by on this forum where someone posts up 'i was just going round a roundabout at 5mph honest, and i lost the back end'. and everyone is like 'oh my god, it must have been diesel/damp road'. so what we are saying is if it happens to one of us it was someone elses fault, but if its a mechanic it is 100% his fault.

You'll have it back in a couple of days buddy and although it isn't the point I'm sure once its all fixed up and looking fresh you will feel happier again

when has it ever sat out the front of your house? :rasp:
being ur pride & joy the truth is when it does get fixed & looking all nice again in ur driveway, you will be put off the car & proberly want to sell it. Youll also feel put off doing upgrades on the car, as to why spend big money on upgrades & expensive service money when the car will be worth under market value.

You can say that about any car though no matter what car you buy 9/10 time when you sell it youll lose out !
Only just seen this thread. My god....if i had a call from any garage looking after my car to say a mechanic had crashed it, i'd hit the fecking stratosphere!
And to see comments like "oh but whats the fuss? The insurance will cover it" is fecking insensitive to be honest.
Im sure if those people were in the same boat, they'd be mortified.
Anyway, i hope you get it back in better condition than before it went in!
if 9/10 u loose out when selling a car i must be the lucky one - iv mainly made atleast 500-800 pounds when selling my cars but thats mostly vw mk1 & mk2 golf gti
