Megane 1.5 DCI Non Starter

As above, have a customers car in for a non starting fault, it was fine till he changed the Fuel pressure regulator, he said it started once on the new regulator, never went again, he fitted the old one and it doesnt start any more..


Had a quick look over it, cant see any issues, other than it wont start on press of the button, it does however start after being towed for 20-30 yards, turn it off, wont start again..

Im thinking injectors? just after another opinion, as i know f**k all about the DCI engine


Edit: Also when buying a set of injectors do they need coded like the Fords do?

Do some live data runs.

Fuel pressure at cranking speed ( should be bettween 290/300bar )
Then do a leak down test on the injectors.

Sounds to me like injector/s getting stuck open.

Check the egr isn't blocked? If that gets stuck open it will not start without help

you can run a dci without coded injectors but the fine tuning C2i codes need putting in to make it perfect
