Megane 225 engine removal..

  BMW M135i
Take the front end off they come out easily. Nothing special to worry about off the top of my head.

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
Did one last week. Nothing hugely special, leave the AC connected and unbolt the pump from the block, then swing it clear, disconnect the loom from the engine and leave it connected at the car end, remove the whole front end and front half of the subframe. the rest is just normal procedure

Thanks for the quick replies, front ends removed and loom and other bits out the way, another problem im having is removing the driveshafts, is there a split pin anywhere ?

sharft don't need to come out of the hub, undo the balljoints form the lower arm, and remove the center bearing carrier from the back of the block and you can swing the hubs away enough for the shafts to come out of the box and clear enough to not get in the way

Depends what's wrong with it. I'd be tempted as a rebuild donor for the right price

Nothing was wrong with it, pulled really good before i removed, didnt use any water or oil, and didnt over heat, havent got any receipts to cambelt being done so that would need doing, but while the engines out its best to change anyway?
