Yea, I wouldn't trust playstation.com for news like this though ;)

Especially when all links point to different forums..

Well worked scam though :D

Sounds like a load of s**t tbh.

Who cares, it's only a frigging DvD format. Both companies are worth billions and what ever the outcome I can't see either suffering hugely.

And it pisses me off so bad when people slaaag Microsoft off. Don't these geeks realise they wouldn't be sat there looking at gay p**n if it wasn't for Microsoft. Even if you're using an Apple system or Linux, you'll cross Microsoft somewhere along the line.

ms have always said that they are backing hd dvd but if blu ray gets to be the dominant format they wont hesitate in releasing a hd dvd drive for it

lol of course this is bulls**t, they will never "give up" on hd-dvd.
lol that and hte fact its posted on a playstation fanboy forum

Lol, i wouldnt be so quick to doubt this.

Sales of bluray are twice what hd are, and many shops are reducing their stock of hd in favour of bluray...

You're obviously some kind of Microsoft hater.

You don't have to look far to see the input Microsoft has put in to the software side of computers.

he's linux fan boy, what do you expect.

I can't see MS ditching it already. Why would they? If it dies, they'll release a BR drive for the 360. If BR dies, Sony are screwed

In the same way you're an MS fanboy.

Because it's that simple, right. How exactly people expect Sony to roll over on BD when they're a major player in the film industry anyway is somewhat optimistic from a MS standpoint. It's also besides the point, PS3 games and media is pressed to BD anyway...unlike MS having to cram things onto DVD, Sony still have 50gb to play with on their games discs.

Eitherway, I don't think MS are going to drop HD-DVD and I don't think this war will be resolved for a year or so.

360 + HD-DVD + 5'25" FDD + BD Drive...gonna be a lovely looking additional to the beautiful brick...I mean console ;o)

Wind ya neck in.

I've owned all sony consoles bar the ps3, and also had an original xbox. How does that make me an ms fan boy? When the ps3 has some decent games out, and the format war is decided, i'll probly buy one. At the moment I don't see any benefits buying a ps3 when i already have a 360.

Im not a fan of MS no.. I was just interested to hear what inovations they have brought to the PC field.. To the best of my knowledge everything they have done has been copied or bought over...
