Mileage counter problem

My mileage counter will back to zero almost every time I start the car.
What should I do?

mine has the same problem, happens more when the outside temp is cold apparently and the battery voltage drops and it resets or its trip comuter related, try recharging the battery.

But weather is crazy hot now.
Also, I had this problem long time ago since Jan or last year

Battery is porbably on the way out but also check the wiring at the back of the dash.

It might also be the dahboard a few failed and were replaced under warenty.

Hi Edde,

Did try another dial and it has same problem (trip mileage counter back to zero every time I start the car, not the total one). I am thinking what can cause the problem??? Plus, my battery is not that old. About 18-24 months. I forgot.
