Mileage/odometer issues

The stalk for fiddling with my mileage/odometer does not work - any ideas?

take the cover off the top by the steering wheel. There are two screws under the steering wheel and then it just pulls off. Just check that your electric block is plugged in and hasnt come out. Failing that try the fuses and if it still doesnt work get a new stalk maybe?
