Mint UNO turbo ie

That's brilliant, I didn't expect any of these to be alive nowadays . I had a 1.0 as my first car back in 2000 and have fond memories of the little UNO :)

That red one is fantastic!

My mate was building one up, had a mint white shell for one. Was keeping it in storage somewhere and someone broke in and kicked and ruined every panel on it :( It got scrapped.

I had a UNO formula 45 as my first car, it was a rusty white heap but just kept on going! 45bhp! Always wanted a turbo one, the red one look good.

I miss mine, unfortunately I was only 18and thought a bleed valve was a good idea!

There is another really nice one for sale on car and classic. cant post the link on my phone.

I do like them but by today's standards, even a great example would feel like it was made of cardboard.

I had one that was pretty mint, spent half its life in Monaco. Although I was always scared I'd break something and it would cost ££££ so drove it like a granny most of the time.

Sold it to a guy down south who planned to make it even better.

Build quality made my Ax gt feel like a tank.

Haha yeah I was constantly turning off the stereo thinking I could hear things.

Dave, with your weekend diet of Harvey's cheap beer and cheaper sluts its no wonder you look awful ;)

dude i'm 29, wrong age bracket for harveys, its for the under 18's or over 45's ;)

Shame Dunc never drives it. Ambergate is like a motorsport time capsule... Some cracking Escorts around there to.

I remember there used to be a stunning UNO turbo on fiat forum years ago, think that may have been someone called Dunc?

mate Dunc has one, its got a delta ingrale lump in it now

Dunc's a good lad. Had an S13 as well IIRC.

The Uno Turbo community is small but fairly lively, the same bunch of lads have been around for over 10 years now.

I nearly bought a red mk1 turbo shell recently but had nowhere to put it : (

Hard to break Dave, engine are strong and can take a bar of boost all day, every day. I've covered tens of thousands of miles in various Uno Turbos (I've owned 4), sure they had the odd issue but they are easy to work on, parts aren't that difficult and they really are the original pocket rocket.

The main issue I had was snapping/popping out drive shafts!

Ah why not some pic whoring ;)

Never really got any decent ones but..
