misfired then cut out???????

filled car ( clio 1.8 16v )with petrol set off down the street it started misfiring then cut out now it wont start it was defo petrol i put in and not diesel so does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? also checked fuel pump and fuel filter they are working, thanks

My mate had a problem similar to yours and found it was a sensor on the engine block, not guaranteeing it's the same but worth a try.

hiya thanks for your replys but ive found out that the drum of petrol i got had a quarter of diesel in it so that was the problem its been drained out and ive cleaned spark plugs and now it works again so thanks everyone
