Mk1 1.4 AUTO - Exhaust different to manual ?

Colleague is having trouble finding information about the correct exhaust for a 1997 mk1 1.4 automatic RT Clio.

Apparently the exhaust is different to the manual version !?

Any ideas guys ?

If anyone has one for sale near Romford/Basildon, let me know.

Thanks...

OK we've established that the auto has a flexi bit in the middle for some reason... any ideas why it needs that, but the manual doesn't ?

Auto's exhausts are silly money compared to the manual ones.

Car's worth <£500, exhausts are coming up at >£300... :dead:

I have suggested scrapping the whole thing TBQFH !

Why does it need another exhaust Rob??

Serious suggestion here, if it's that much of a banger, get a beer can, cut the top and bottom off, bit of exhaust paste and a good few jubilee clips, hole closed. (assuming it's got a hole in it)

Manual exhaust is £50, Auto is £130 on t'Bay.

I don't know whats wrong with it .. colleague is a little slack in the getting stuff done department. It might have a pin prick, or it might be missing the majority of the tube.

Yeah, beer can to the rescue haha !
