mk1 1.8 16v idle problem

hi i have a clio 16v but it has a very erratic idle and eventually settles at around 1500 rpm. and ideas on whats going wrong. the car has induction kit, and decat with straight through exhaust if that may interfere with it.

are the breather pipes fitted properly to the induction kit ?

if you have no split hoses then id say you have a speedo cable earth problem, take your dash off, clocks out, find the earth wire on the speedo cable, splice into it another piece of wire and earth it somewhere behind the dash

that should fix it, the 1500 idle is a known issue

Mine does exactly the same!! I'm just too lazy to fix it.

Dash out takes like 15 mins! 5 screws on the top then two bold on the clocks, then just pull forward and crack the bracket

You could also take all the other parts of and undo the bottom bolts but f**k it! who'll know lol!
