Mk1 1.8 16v not starting

  S2000
After some recent work on the car (just did a compression test and changed the oil and oil filter) the car has decided not to start. It is sparking as usual but the injectors are not firing and no fuel is getting into the cylinders. Every now and then when it's turning over you will hear one of the cylinders fire but thats all you get, one fire on one cylinder. I tried changing the iginiton module but that hasn't done anything, I've also checked the resistance of the crank sensor and it seems to be within the usual values.

I just wondered if anyone else has had this happen to their car and if so what was the cause?

The only thing I can think of that could have possibly caused part of the problem was that when I was doing the compression test I accidentaly turned over the engine without the lead on the coil, causing a couple of sparks to jump from the coil to the area of where the plugs are on the ignition module.

If anyone has had this happen or has any ideas of the possible cause please let me know and I'm pretty stumped.

You can see most of the things I've tried HERE (page 3 onwards)
