MK1 172 interior wear issues

Ive only ever had a look at 1 MK1 172 (theres only a few in Northern Ireland) and the interior seems very worn for 60k miles.

The leather part of the seat bolsters was very worn is this normal? the guy is quite large.

Does the alacantara part of the steering wheel also disentegrate very easily with people wearing rings on fingers etc?

Think about it, whenever you or the previous owner has got in or out of the car, your backside is going to rub against it.

Its just general wear and tear.

Yeah i know what your saying but my leathered M3 with 80k or hyundai coupe with 50k didnt have any wear at all on the bolsters so its making me question whether she has been clocked etc?

Depends: Jeans have rivets... which rub against the bolsters... causing wear.. so if he/she was a fan of riveted jeans then that can explain it.

Also, some people clip their mobile phones onto their belts... which can do the same thing.

Also, some like to sit very close to the wheel, leaving very little room to get in and out - so the same thing applies.

Good-ol-moisturising helps every once in a while.
