Finding the mk1 172 steering wheel quite slippery. Is it possible to get it recovered to get it back to new. Or even get it covered in a suede material. Are there any companies that do this.

Considering that. Is it a straight swap.

nope.

already looked at it.

Mk2's have dual deployment airbags (soft impact - partial deployment, hard impact - full deployment)....... Mk1's dont. This would equal lots of confusion for the ecu...

you would need a new rotary switch to get it on anyways, as the Mk1 rotary has a different airbag setup.

i'm getting mine retrimmed in black alcantara. chunky & grippy as you like.

£200 though.
