MK1 172 steering wheel

The steering wheel in my clio looks really tatty so I am thinking of changing it! Does this cause a problem with the airbag other than it will not work?
What has been the response from peoples insurance companies when they tell them the air bag is de-activated?
Can you post your pictures of 172 with aftermarket steering wheels please?

I've got a momo race in my mrk1 172 just get the proper momo boss kit and you'll be ok. It has an air bag buypass on it so the light doesn't come on. Sorry its a little blurry it was pissing with rain and I was getting wet!!
