mk1 astra gte on ebay

Im looking for a mk1 golf or a 205 mi16 to put on a classic policy, and come across this astar GTE
Has anyone had one or driven one, anyone know if its any good, or how do they compare to the mk1 golf or 205?

205mi16 all the way mate, an astra wouldn't come close handling, my 190bhp 205mi16 cost me £247 a year all mods declared on a classic policy blew the socks off subaru's lol

im the highest bidd on this, is ur 205mi16 for sale. What classic policy are u using? Most only cover 1990 or below, iv seens a nice mi16 but is a 1992.
how will this GTE compare with a mk1 golf

mk1 GTE is cool. Not the kind of car that should be owned if you're not very competent with mechanicals yourself though. That's far too nice an example to be neglected and abused as a daily driver

sold it mate, it was a g plate, i used hic classic insurance all mods declared, headwork,cams, carbs, coilovers, brakes etc etc £247 fully comp, limited to 5k miles, but that did me fine, could probably up the milage if needed

The 205's are the least likely to rot, the Astra most likely.

still got my heart set on a mk1 golf really, iv seen one for £2800 with audi trottle bodies. But needs a new driveshaft for a mk2 golf.
