I am going to lower my clio by 55 or 60 mm at the front but would I need shorter shocks?

From your question, i'm assuming you're just going to fit lowering springs?

If so, then the standard shocks will eventually give up.

Can you not buy some secondhand coilovers/matching shocks and springs?

I can't really find secondhand springs and shocks but will the mk2/mk3 clio coilovers/springs fit
