Mk1 imobiliser

is there a way to turn it of permantly because it is not responding at all and cannot turn it of to start the engine

if its a standard alarm/immobiliser,you should have a key with it..lift the bonnet up passenger side and then lift the scuttle panel flap and there you will find a little black box with a key hole..turn it one way to turn alarm on/off and the other way to turn the immobiliser of...thats what was done on my old clio valver
