mk1 rsi problem can anyone help ?

my mk1 clio rsi has an idle problem , it sits between 300 and 900 revs constantly reving between , it doesn't just tick over nicely ?
why ????
ive taken it to loads of garages and got loads of different toughts on the problem !
is it ecu , injectors or sensors domewhere ?

please help i'm desperate !

My RT was doing something similar, HT leads.

was gonna say check things like plugs, leads, dizzy and rota arm and att the conections around the tb

Clean the ISCV with carb cleaner and a cotton bud.

cheers for the reply's guys,
done ht leads , plugs , air filter, oil change , fuel filter and fuel treatment
with no fix
will take a look at the items listed to clean/check
thanx alot for your help !
any more idea's if that doesn't work ?
i was thinking maybe the scrap yard !

Throttle body distorted causing an air leak round the butterfly spindle.

Check theres no vaccuum leak from MAP sensor or cracks in the inlet manifold.
