mk2 172 Seering

Hi, If anyone with a mk2 172 gets chance, could you do me a favour please?

My steering wheel is creeking when turning and its doing my head in! I took it into Renault today and they said they checked everything and it was ok. When driving home the creek was there, just as bad as ever! Anyone else have this problem?? For example, if i start the engine and slowly turn the wheel it creeks!

Anyone have this problem in their 172???

Mine does it too. Must be a Renault feature!

Its a pain in the ass!! I thought Renault would have fixed it today :O(

Mine does this too, but normally only in the cold weather. I havent booked it in though......

Mine too, cold weather (as in freezing) only though. Think its a rubber grommet that just gets a bit stiff due to the cold.

Nothing a friendly blast of silicone oil couldnt cure if you could get to it?

Yeh it definately seems worse in the cold! It feels as though it needs oiling somehow.

Has anyone had this prob fixed by Renault??
