MK2 PH1 1.6 16v cat/decat help.

My decat came this morning and encounterd a few glitches,
1, i couldnt remove the cat as i couldnt get the flange bit that connects to the manifold out, is there any specific way anyone knows of to remove it or is my only option to get it up on a ramp?

2, Can anyone recommend the best way to join this to the flexi pipe part of the cat? im guessing cut cat weld the secion i need to this then when mot comes get a special emitions test or buy a new cat.

probably supposed to be connected to the supersprint manifold i would have thought?

the ktec one doesnt show the flexi pipe http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=381 so not sure where the flexi pipe actually is

I've got the same de-cat mate. Just took mine to an exhaust place to be welded to the standard downpipe. Not sure what I'm gonna do for MOT, it's a right b*****d to get to the downpipe/manifold bolts to take it off!

its not that bad tbh just take ur airbox off your tb, move it to the side and u can get to the 3 bolts 10mm head's on them will probably pull the studs out but easy enough, its getting the flange bit out i couldnt do as i wasnt on axle stands and couldnt see, i assume u need a new cat for mot now? got a good 11 months till mine
did it go much louder with that decat as its got a baffle?
