The foglights plug into the car behind the bumper on the passengers side, as far as i know most expressions are wired for foglights so i think all you need to do is fit the actual lights themself, plug them in and change the steeringwheel stalk to one that has the front fog function
I'd find the price and part no. but i'm not at home. I would imagine there at least £50, you might be able to get one from a scrap yard, i've seen them cropping up on ebay but most of them seem to be the ones without front fogs but its worth having a look.
There is also a relay involved too I think as I can hear one pull in when I turn my fogs on and to be honest I would be really surprised if all the wiring is there in place for the fogs too (could be wrong) so i'd have a look first before you start buying anything.
ahhh ignore previous post. ive just looked through the engine bay and can see a wire behind the rear of the passenger fog light cover (cliped onto fogy cover) so looks like i just need the fog lights, stalk and the wire that runs between the passenger and drivers side foggys
82 00 086 522 BUMPER LOOM C2 18.27 ---3 x 1
77 01 051 759 H/LAMP CONTROL C3 58.64 ---3 x 1
There the part numbers i've pulled from dialogys for the stalk and the loom that goes between the fogs.
I can't get the part no for the actual lamps because it comes up no reference for this vehicle even when i've selected fogs? I'm sure someone who can use dialogys better can find them for you and confirm the above is correct.
cheers for that mate. thinkin about touring the local scrappys soon for a stalk, think thats a wise idea? (also will hopefully allow me ava bit of practise removing thesteering wheel before i do my own lol)
the lamps may be an ebay job but see if the scrappy has any. pleased the wiring is in though.
whats the situation on the relay likely to be anyone know?
Yeh the scrapy should be a good idea because if you can find one then you can get the job lot stalk, loom and lamps and it should be a damn sight cheaper than renault and you can also see how it all went together.
Can't help you on the relay frontier other than there is a click from the passenger side fuse compartment when I turn them on, though there aren't any visible relays there.
from renault it's about £150 for the full kit. Wiring it isn't that difficult providing you're lucky enough to get a Clio that is fully pre-wired. Mine had the cable behind the bumper, but no space in fusebox for new fuse or relay, no wiring to stalk and nothing to the dash lights. I discovered that the front of the car is standard pre-wired but the cab (so to speak) is seperate and it seems a bit of a lottery as to whether you got one pre-wired or not.
to be honest if ive not got the wiring there im just going to buy the actualy lights and put them in, just finishes the car off better couldnt care if they work or not lol obviously its a bonus if they do!

im working under the same principles mate. other thing i mite investigate is wiring in a rocker switch somewere with a perm 12v (fused), then run a switches live to the lights and ground them to the chasis, im thinking that should work unless anyone is able to elaborate?
that will work yes russ, but surely (in a resale sense) it would be better if you're going to the trouble of doing all that then just fit the OE kit. People don't often like to see a butchered dash to make way for fog lights. Also if you opt for that method you will not have the dash display light showing when the fogs are lit.
