Mk2 Ph2 Rear Lights in a Ph1

Now.. maybe I did something wrong considering I tried to switch these over in the dark, but is it not simply a straight switch for the casing from a mk2 ph1 rear light to a ph2? Because Im pretty sure the bulb holder didnt fit properly??

What in the world is that all about!? and what do I do!?

nope mate, need to reroute about 4 wires in the junction box part...THEN its a straight plug and play job

Wow, what a mistake to make eh? How much am I looking at for the bulb holders?

The ph1 bulb holders won't clip into the ph2 lights. Not sure if you can force them to fit.

My ph2 clipped into smoked ph1 lights but it was slightly off from the normal place.

he's not wrong, in fact Day's the person who changed the lights on my old car, 30 mins after collecting it.
now... which wires are orange1 and orange2? lol

Some bugger had rewired mine.

Orange1 was pink striped lol
