MK3 Clio DCI 106bhp Vibration Noise

Hi

I've owned my MK3 dci 106bhp for 3 months. Had a service done at 9,000 miles and have a vibration noise coming from the driver side, when the car is idle. Have checked underneath and can't find anything rattling. Took into the dealer and claimed that this is the noise the diesel makes!! I know they are talking cr*p, as I had no probs before the service and owned 2 MK2 dci 65bhp before this car.

Has anyone else experienced this noise in a MK3, as it puts me off driving the car.

Yea top engine mount tie bar. a/c pipes rattling. intercoolers rattling, and washer bottle top rattling are a few things

The noise has now stopped when idling, but you can hear the rattle when slowing down. I think its exhaust, but I've checked, or maybe the spare wheel(why Renault decided on doin this)

does it come back if say you were holding it on the clutch?

The vibration is still there when I hold the clutch in..

no no. what about if you hold it on the bite point with the handbrake on is what i was getting at

The vibration noise came back today. Drove 30 miles and it never went away. Held the clutch at biting point and the noise was still there. Drove back 30 miles and the noise was gone.

Its a strange 1

i reckon it could be the intercooler rattling

It was bad this morning, but this afternoon it was gone again. I'll have a look at the intercooler tomorrow if its vibrating again.

Thanks for your help, once I get this sorted may have to investigate the mpg, I'm only getting 50mpg..my DCI 65 I was getting 65mpg
