MK3 Door Pillar Stickers

My MK3 has textured black stickers on the door pillar (between the front and rear windows). I've had a look and this seems pretty standard, has anyone taken them off? If so was all the paint okay underneath?

Yes mate they are painted underneath I removed mine the only thing I noticed was a slight texture to the paint but wasn't really noticeable, you definitely need a heat gun or even a hairdryer though to heat it up or its a pain to removd

The rubber bit at the bottom of the window would annoy me.

Lol there even more annoying when you break one of the clips that hold them on and it just refuses to sit flat against the door
