MK3 Hub Cap Bolts Rusting!

Evening All,

I was checking my tyre pressure this afternoon and noticed that all 4 of my hub cap bolts are rusting! The car is only 9 months old :S

Has anyone else noticed theirs rusting? Are they covered by the warranty?

YUp mine did it to went on the bay and got a new set for £8 the stealers want £18 !!!

Could always paint em

I seem to be cleaning them every 5 minutes :dapprove: Prob why the bolts are rusting, lol

How do I stop the new set rusting? grease?

Not had a problem with mine as of yet...:quiet:

Might get a bit of paint on em before they start though!

Get some was on the wheels thatll stop it building up so quick....As for stopping them rust i coated my new ones in about six layers of PB Wheel Sealant seems to be doing the job thus far

thats odd, mine are fine...

well i suppose i have mk2 alloys on mine, so maybe its different with mk3 alloys.

Yeah the bolts they use are cheaper than normal !

Just buy a silver touch up pen.
