Apologies for the lack of the write up guys but when I downloaded the pics they looked great so I thought i'd pop some up. Especially to show how you don't need an old school wax to bring out the best in colours like this.

One light stage machine polish, great prep from dealer tpo be fair... they were told not to touch it, lots of residue left from all the stickers etc!
Cleansed wqith Werkstat prime, cannot stop using this! 3 layers of Reload 15', undiluted and layers 20 minutes apart. Great thing about some modern spray sealants, can be layered. C2V3 was a favourite for that on Red also.

I meant to add, as an all rounder these are epic, stupid quick, 4wd, lots of toys and spec. Sensible-ish mpg. The beat thing? They're actually interesting to drive!

My long term over 3k is around 26mpg with majority of town driving. My dads is 32mpg over 3.5k with a mix of town and motorways.
Tax is £180 a year iirc.

Jesus, I'm not the biggest fan of Golfs but Good God that is beautiful.

If I owned one, first thing I'd do is remove the bloody quad exhaust it seems VW Audi Group got a massive discount deal on the quad exhaust system so stuck it on the S1, S3 and R. Two singles would look far more sophisticated.

I haven't seen one in the streets with the proper wheels yet, and i've seen 10+ different ones!

They really should come with those wheels by default.

I don't agree but yeah a lot of people don't like the standard Cadiz. I personally prefer them.

Yeah that's true I guess. From all the ones I've seen on the road though I'd say it's 50-50. And most on the vwr forum are Prets.

Like others, I've seen one with these wheels, others I've seen have the 'standard wheels'
The diamond cut wheels just don't do it for me
Still, would have one!

It tends to dry out with machine. Best with a MF applicator IME.

Agreed, I made a thread once years ago about using it by machine but you'd have to combine it with something else to get it to spread, in this case I wanted a strong clean base.

I actually used a AF handi puck and MF pad for the first time...

They all have their advantages, I just fouhnd the MFs I was using weren't of good enough quality. I have another 2 proper megs ones coming now and another 1 of these MF pads.

Yep

The doors are stupidly big though - you wouldn't want to go in a multistorey with one imo!

I noticed that when I got out to get coffee in the morning. It was like jumping in and out of a Nissan. Note it was that easy. Easy to exit with the 5 door and seats are perfect.
