mocal oil cooler

I want one as the heat from the turbo gets transferred to the engine and coolant very quickly.

Oil is good at temperature, but there is a limit to how hot it should be. Not sure what that is though.lol.

You need to check what temp your engine presently running the 172/182 run very to even on motorway but as for if you need one depends what oils your uing some good oil ie Motul/Millers and it can take higher temps.

Its a nice thing to have though.

Oils do work better at temps 100 is a good temp to have it. I as was talking to a Evo tunning compnay there full spec race car was running 90 degress in use with a full dry sump and coolers there similar spec one with was normaly cooled was running massivly higher tesmp 130 or so I think.

not really unless you're doing loads of track work and your oil temps are high

although with the thermostatic plate the cooler only functions when the oil gets above 80degC

we block our cooler off in the winter as the oil gets overcooled (but we have a non thermo plate, so oil is circulating all the time)
