Mod My Mk1 172 vs Save For A 182





I still cant decide what to do....

" I have just driven passed a nice silver 182 and I am thinking again"

I can just about afford to get my Mk1 172 lowered on a nice set of coilovers next month, but on the other hand I am thinking do I save my hard earned wedge and maybe get a 182 in 6-12 months?

Dont know what to do..... :confused:

Have you got finance on the MK1?

Im loving having a car with no finance cos I can buy what I want and Ive started tweaking the car more.

If it was me, Id use the money to mod the mk1.

Ive thought about doing the same, and a modded (coilovers, cam, flowed inlet manifold, chip, zorst and replacement filter) will give a std 182 carrots
 


If you get a 182, youll loose money and then Renault will bring out the next phase and youll want that too!

Renault does have this marketing thing down to a tee. How to sell the same thing to the same people over and over when what they already have is perfectly good. :confused:
 


keep the mk1 mate, make it go faster and look better than a 182 for less money! cos u will get the 182 and it will be standard and u will want them mods to be on that 182 an thats ££££££ so u already got the car just make that one nice!

Keep the Mk1. If you say you can just about afford coilovers etc well a 182 will be a real finantial burdon.

I thought the same thing when the 182s came out almost signed on the dotted line but couldnt part with the 172 mow just doinging it up bit by bit far better than the 182!!
