modding a 172

hey can any one tell me how or if it is easy to remove the speakers/ tweeters on the front dash, oh and how easy is it to run wires throught to places like to amp the front speakers and tweeter , thinking of install some vibes,,,, can any one help me

The dash can be an arse to get out, and ever worse to get back in.

You'll be best taking the whole thing out. The door speakers are easy, as is running wires to the back for an amp/sub

I don’t agree on the dash being difficult to remove, its one of the easiest jobs on the car.
You can get to the tweeters easily and the door wiring is best done by using the existing wires if you don’t want to strip the door grommets and drill them.

The OEM set up doesn’t have a crossover as such just a couple of small capacitors on the tweeters themselves.
There is enough room under the dash for the replacement X-overs, so if you plan the job it can all be done using the existing wiring so you can return it to standard when you sell the car.

Run the power cable down the nearside and the signal cables down the off side.
Make sure you make a good connection to the frame for your amp earth and put fuses both ends of the power cable (one next to the battery +ive terminal.)
