Mods question

Had my bella for about a month and tons of driving fun. I am at the infancy stage on the topic of mods so the following query goes...

I am interested in getting the Green IK and Magnex stainless steel exhaust (twin pipes). Am I right to say with these 2 mods, I would be losing out much on the low end torque and a chip would sort that out? What could be the possible gains in power & torque?

Any feedback would be appreciated on the 2 products. Also, I read in some tread about back box. What the diff bet that and a full stainless steel exhaust?

My 4 discs rust quite a bit too, probably the cause for the klonging sound I hear when the brakes are still cold?

Thanks much!

Klonking is fairly normal, its just the pads sticking to the discs

Exhaust - Magnex is good, fits well, but isnt the loudest, K-tec is another option for you

Green IK - i wouldnt go for, open induction kits tend to lose power on the 172!!! either just replace the element inside the OE airbox, or stick a sealed induction kit on such as a viper

Sealed IKs tend to cause the car to run lean, so a remap is advised

The above = 185bhp approx

How lean it will become ? Any AFR showing this ? Stock setup is a little bit rich and for NA car, the AFR can aim at 13.5 without any problem.

Roamer + Chris both have/had Vipers, and on the rollers Roamers was lean at WOT and Chris cars fueling was all over the place!!! Both cars had to be remaped by London Superchips Roamers came back with 184bhp and chris with 180bhp

Get a cold air intake and pannel filter instead of an IK much better gains (well better than stock anyway)
