Hi just thought I would start this as I have been changing a few bits on my car and plan to do a few more bits on it.when I got it I removed fly eye off rear lights and yellow tints off the fogs. I then painted the bullets silver added sport door cards and handles. Also fitted a sport grill and cup splitter.
Plans for it are :
25mm front spacers
Sports steering wheel
Colour coded door handles
Xenons
And a cup spoiler
I'd appreciate any of your thoughts and ideas of what I could do

Little up date on my progress , scince I posted in here last I have brought some 30mm hubcentric front spacers as well as a set of 2118's as they were going cheap , still not sure if I like them or my turbines better. I think it might just be the fact that there white so I may refurb them in andradite when the water gets warmer.also got some polarised wheel bolts witch look nice, after a couple of weeks worth of dirt building up and doing 250 miles in the week just gone on 25£ I thought the ole girl deserved a quick wash. Few pics below even tho I haven't got the spacers fitted and need my tyres changing on my wheels before I can use the 2118's

Managed to get my spacers fitted today and I can't belive how much better it looks, wish I'd sorted them out sooner. I then tried to take some fancy pictures of the car but only having an iPhone to take them on and being rubbish at taking pictures there no where near as good as some peoples pictures on here. But here they are anyway .....

Looks good mate! what engine is it? as its a rep and all that, tbh i thought it was a 172 till i saw it said rep so fooled me. Spacers makes a huge difference, just rears next then? haha. What happened to the 2118's tho?

Thanks I'm glad some one likes it :up:it's a dci 65 so cheap tax, insurance and really good mpg
Might have to lift the rear up a little before I can space it as I don't want any rubbing, can't fit the 2118's till get my tyres swapped over and I'm not sure weather to refurb them in a darker colour first either,

Love this! Such a good replica.

With dark wheels I think it's important to keep the tyres looking black, they look rather grey in the pics. Some nice tyre dressing and them wheels will look lovely on the car .

I have a 68 1.5 dci sport replica. Love the car, such good engines.

Thanks mate I can't make up my mind about the wheels tbh ,agree with you about the tyres but only managed to give it a quick clean yesterday, and as u can see by the pictures it's already dirty again so it's abit pointless at this time of year .
Got any pictures of yours ?

Ahh nice one! wish i went for a dci now instead of a 1.2, cheaper on insurance for me as well. I had the issue with the rear, raised it due to rubbing and now wish it was lower again, ever ending haha. I think a charcoal anthracite would look awesome, or you could just sell them to me? ;)

Other than that, I love the wheels!

Um the only one I have of mine atm is the below one I took to send to my mate. I'd lowered it on coilovers too much and couldn't get out of the garage! [emoji23]

And that isn't up to date anymore, I have fitted universal projectors into the housing.

Yeah and the dci is a bit more tuneable if you ever wanted more power, might just leave the height for now as it sits level and I can't really afford to change it tbh ahah

Good one [emoji23] I have to use wood as a ramp to get it in, getting bored of doing that. Fast! [emoji30]

There are tuning boxes on eBay atm for £36 delivered from Germany. Takes our upto 80/82 bhp. Worth a punt!

Haha I couldn't be dealing with that all the time 😊 Could be so long as it don't cause the dam thing to blow up ahah

How's your mileage looking? [emoji23]
Mines on 159k, had the belts and water pumps done last year. Look after these engines and they look after you. Mine hasn't missed a beat [emoji4]

About 109k going on 110 and belts were done at around 85k but I've done near 5k in the three months since I passed my test so I might give it little service soon.

Little up date on my progress , have really just been using the car and enjoying it, however it has started developing a few problems, Abs rings are had it as well as the near side caliper is sticking, service light and air bag light keep coming on due to the wires under the seat, and a bit of a knocking noise from the rear however I'm not really sure what this is yet. I've also managed to bust my cup splitter already due to some idiot deciding to speed towards me on a single track road and me having to jump for the bank to avoid a head on :rage: It's also been getting very dirty just lately as I can't be bothered to clean it :tonguewink: However I have started to sort the 2118's will let the pics do the talking :smile:Hope you all like it

Done a bit if work on the clio today, managed to get it up on the ramp to do the abs rings however I had brought two 44tooth rings and mine were 26 so I managed to get one from euro car parts but they only had one, have nearley got one side back together but ran out of daylight , I've also had a look around the underside of the rest of the car to discover the knocking noise is because rear exhaust rubber has perished, I also noticed that the rear springs are very lose and with the mot just over a month away I think I'm going to have to sort this . Will it be the same with all lowering springs as they are shorter than standard or is it just that mine are very short? Should I just get some cheap standard springs and fit for the mot ? What the best option?

Bit more of an update on my progress. after looking at my car one day in the work car park I thought it seemed as though the back was sitting lower than usual. I stuck my head under the back to find one of my springs was totally compressed.
9029DE4B-5D23-42BB-BED7-79072D956EEE_zps5sv8bjgi.jpg

So I decided I had better investigate this further and one of my rear shocks was leaking. I managed to pick up some 172 rear springs and shock for a good price and I fitted these. The car now drives so much better and ia more practice as I can put a load in the rear with out constand bottoming out ,

And finally the most exciting bit , I've finally manage to finish refurbishing the 2118's and got them fitted :)

Not up dated in a while yet again, not done much to the car really though , Cars been MOT'd which it only needed an inner tie rod, wires under the seats bottom ball joint and a real wheel bearing doing which I don't think was to bad for a car what gets used as much as mine. Upgrade wise I've fitted some rear spacers as the new wheels had been slightly rubbing which was noticed on the mot. My plans for it now are colour code the door handles and boot handle, give it a good service and just maintain it well until the end if summer when I should hopefully be able to upgradeto something better as my insurance will be up for renewal, oh and I've also became a member on here so can search for more cheap parts
Before spacers :

Thanks mate colour codeing is definitely on the to do list. Should be sorting the fog light as soon as I can get a new one as well as a skoda splitter as I managed to smash my genuine cup one

Ive got a skoda splitter on my ph1was bargin and think it looks good better than what I had for sure the silver vision bulbs for indicators isa nice cheap improvement not sure on ur boot release surround being black aswell somthing I also done was change the washer jets to mist spray type

Yeah might have a go at fixing mine first as I've still got the other part that broke off, got to be honest the orange bulbs never really fussed but boot release surround and washer jets are on the todo list:wink:

Alot of people the bulbs don't tbh the washer jets I got are citreon ines either c4 ir Picasso I think but think there all mostly tge same and we're straight swap and dince noticed sane as mates saxo much better at clearing the window sone people paint the black boot release button and that looks smart

Thanks man didn't realise they fitted non-sports did you modify them? (Sorry for the Q's)
No problem mate , the spacers were a straight fit just had to buy some different bolts as the ones that came with the kit would not have fitted.
