Clio 172 Monaco
Well its been a while since ive updated but ive been busy cracking back on with the clio had Lordman come over sunday to give us a hand but it was so cold and snowing we only managed to wash Mr beans car and Lordman's car but made little progress on my clio only fitting the new clutch cable picked up from Bristol. I had a few issues with the gearbox rebuild kit as alot of the stuff in the kit was wrong 
and i had to wait 3 months for the bloody kit aswell but its been over a year since ive had the kit so shows how long ive had the gearbox rebuild kit ready haha. he also came up with a little plan with fixing the problem with the diff circlip by using the bolted part off a newer type gearbox and machining it to fit the older diff and drilling and tapping it so no more diff issues.
Mr Bean Has been great sourcing the bits to finish the Gearbox he drove all the way up to Agency Transmissions in Worcester (01905 24896) on friday, Martin was fantastic!!. When Mr Bean phoned him and said what parts he needed when he got there Martin had the parts ready what a top bloke really helpful and freindly bloke and asked if Mr Bean new of Burpspeed :approve: and he asked about the club. Mr bean was straight back with the correct parts to finish the gearbox what he thought anyways but disaster struck that the bell housing seal was also wrong in the Renault kit and the bearing was damaged by mr bean So a complete stripdown of the gearbox again and back on the phone Agency and they were shut till Monday so today Mr bean phoned Agency they couldnt work out what bearing he was on about so another drive back up to Agency. Peter said they didnt carry the bearing or the seal so the gearbox is at Agency transmissions at the moment awaiting the correct parts and to be fitted but cant praise the guys there really top chaps in the mean time ive managed to fit the flywheel and new Valeo clutch and start painting the calipers as the weather has stopped with the snowing. Cleaned up a few pipes in the engine bay also and ordered myself a battery cover ready for when its all done cleaned. Also sealed all 5 alloy wheels with Gtechniq C5 and found that 1 of my caliper slider pins were seized :dapprove: so luckly Mr Bean has a spare set i can use.

as it should look all finished this was just before pete realised the seal was wrong and pete damaged the bearing
