Got home from work today to find my mother had bought me a 19" widescreen monitor... that was nice of her !

It says that the optimum resolution is 1440 x 900... but when i go in to change my settings i can only select 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1152 x 864, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200.. in windows settings...

So how do i get it to 1440 x 900? Or is it not possible?!

If its no possible whats the best one of the above to use?!

You may need to install drivers for the monitor, although I've personally never actually HAD to do this. 1440x900 is 16:10 widescreen - is it widescreen?

Yep 19" widescreen!

I've installed the drivers that came with it, thinking this would enable me to pick the 1440 x 900 but its still not letting me!

Are you sure you have all drivers installed? Gfx?

the one where i rebuilt the PC?

Yeah all drivers were fixed/installed by Scottydog!
