More Bite ?

  White Sti Hatch
Just picked up my Meggy 230 last night and i love it but the Brembos just dont have enough bite for my liking ! there just on standard Reno pads n drilled discs atm.

Whats a good upgrade in terms of pads & discs ? will be sticking on some Braided lines when the appear so just Pads for now but discs for when the standard ones are done

DS2500's, tbh standard setup is strong so dunno why urs are like that.

some dot 5.1, braided lines, oem solid disks and some DS's... you'll be reete.

i'd try misterC at worldsapart or fred dean. they'll sort u out :)

It's weird just feels like there's nothing there if you get me, the set up on the Ek9 was just Yellow Stuff n standard discs and it felt alot stronger !

What are you running on yours ??

Could they just need bleeding?

Will get a bleed once i do the lines as thats my first port of call for change

through the winter ive just ran standard pads, i'll switch to DS's soon as they are great on track.

alot use triple bypass 0mgZ rotor plates with fluid ball sack bells... well i say alot, a handful, but the meg doesnt need it at all, the brembos are one of the strengths of the car that people often overlook.

i have HEL lines, millers race brake fluid, grooved brembo HC disks and ferodo/brembo OEM pads at the mo, not strong enough for summer but good enough to pootle around at the mo.

i didnt know u were getting a meg btw, cnut.

Yeah i knew the Brembos were ment to be good but i was disappointed with them when i stamped on the a few times last night dont get me wrong it did stop the car but just didnt seem to have the bite they should.

Yeah was looking at HEL lines there ordering up a set on Monday, im not exactly going to be on track so question is are DS2500 required would the standard Freodo pads on K-tec give me a bit more bite ?

I apologies i should have ask your permission first before i bought it :rasp: Number 2019 is all mine

Signed up there the other day shall start asking question over there :) off out to give it a clean and inspect how long its going to take me to sort the damn Swirls from hell out :(

Just flicked through the service book dealer done the Brake Fluid when they first got it in :/ im starting to think they've fucked up some where in the process of bleeding

If you want propper bite go for the DS3000 not much difference in price huge differance in bite. The DS2500 dont proved much more bite over stock IMO. Differance is they will never fade and withstand track driving a lot better.

Must say that you description of the problem sounds more like a bleeding issue.

Bet they are seized,. My 197 pads were seized into the pad carriers, had to be hammered out! Quick strip down/clean up the diference was night and day tbh!
