MOT failed on...

  MCS R56
...you guessed it, the rear brakes!

Just put new rear discs and pads on 3 weeks ago and they still failed. Fu&& ing annoying!! New calipers in order to pass?

  Scirocco 2.0 tsi
However, if you go try somewhere else that also checks this, you'll look like an absolute tit when they see you've failed on the same thing twice in a week? So unless your gonna go in and say excuse me my car failed on my rear brakes do you check this or can i bring it hear to get passed it'll be luck of the draw really.

^^ That news letter would be very useful. but why has someone fitted a tow bar to a cup. Hardly a towing car is it.

Nice one.

The test station should know about the issue.Im a tester and we are fully aware that some rs clios have bad readings at the rear.Renault fit a brake compensator valve without a linkage so it doesnt operate whereas the later ones have a straight through system and the brakes are great. This should be overlooked by the station. If not appeal to vosa!

Is actually illegal to use it!

So it should be ;)

What sort of an idiot buys a car that has had 100kg's removed from it then adds a tow bar and tows around another 1000kg's.

Tbh its probably not heavy enough to tow anything decent. My nans friend has a 17ft caravan and was told by the caravan club that a new mondeo wasnt heavy enough to tow it.

If the test station still fail it even once they have read the artice, tell them to phone VOSA and they will put the right. The place I took my old cup were on the phone for about 30 minutes before finally agreeing to pass it, even though the rearbrakes did hardly anything

I've seen a 182 towing a small box trailer with a kart on it.

Looked cool imo

Neither car has an approved towing weight so neither should tow anything at all
