MOT slightly corroded shock absorbers?

Nearside Front Shock absorbers has slight external damage to the casing corroded (5.3.2 (b))
Offside Front Shock absorbers has slight external damage to the casing corroded (5.3.2 (b))

Clio mk3 1.4. Advisories on the MOT. Are these going to rust away quickly or is this just noting something superficial. Is it easy to kill the rust without removing them, or do I just leave them and replace in a few years?

Probably easier to ask the tester but if only advisories then ignore it and carry on. I doubt they are going to rust through.

Wire brush them and paint them with black hammerite.

Check the spring cups arent paper thin. Prob due a new set if they are originals to be fair.
