Mpi Or Spi

HI JUST BOUGHT AN 1.2 (XREG) CLIO GRANDE. LOOKING AT INDUCTION KITS FOR IT AND I KEEP COMING ACCROSS MPI OR SPI DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN TELL WHICH ONE I HAVE???????:dapprove:

Hi, mpi=multi point injection and spi=single point injection.....have a look for either 4 injectors on the inlet side(mpi) or a "carburettor looking" lump downstream of the air filter(spi). Also listen to the car, should hear soft but rapid clicking noise that does NOT click in time to the normal engine taps and noise etc-this is the single injector opening and closing.

x reg thats clio 2 yes. it will be a d7f or d4f engine so mpi
