MS Word for Mac issue

I foolishly let me misses use my Mac last week to do something for work. Now, every time I open a Word document, it opens her work as default then the document I want on a separate page.

Also, the ribbon thing at the top (with all the font/print/save etc buttons on) isn't on the document that opens initially which means that there is no minimise or close buttons. (pic shows this with blank document at the front and the other one in the background)

Any ideas on what she's done?!

Just do file>close on her document

Try and use apple key + w to close the one at the back.
